”Cathedral, Stanley Park”, 10”x10”, acrylic, woody stabilo, acrylic paint sticks on canvas, $200.
This painting, looking up at the tall trees in Stanley Park, was inspired by my relative’s wife (aunt by marriage), Swanama, the wife of Chief August Jack Khahtsahlano (my Great Grand Uncle). The only photo of her taken was superimposed on a photo of the Seven Sisters trees in Stanley Park, where they once lived. Kitsilano was named after Chief August Jack Khahtsahlano.
